MEET TITAN, TRIADEL FREE MASON

Triadel Free Mason, we met him in Harrisburg when Rupert got his Majors, and he looked so good! No wonder that  he needs only his Majors to finish, as a puppy! He may be attending a series of shows this weekend in Canfield OH, with Gemmi, Gigi, Quincy, Ticket (his sister), and Breaker the little "heart breaker" from Cleveland!   Best of luck to ALL of them, hope we get a few champions out of these shows!

ONE WEEKEND...TWO BROTHERS...TWO CHAMPIONSHIPS!

MATTAPONI KENNEL CLUB
Manassas,  Va

Sunday, May 23, 2010

What a wonderful weekend for us and Colleen, our boys got back to back Championships!
Tommy's babies Argon and Rupert, thought Manassas, Virginia would be a very nice place to get that final point for their championship; Rupert finished yesterday, and not to be outdone by his brother, Argon finished today, and topped Rupert by taking BOS!  Gemmi took the breed again, and finished FOURTH in GROUP!  Stella took RWB...what a wonderful bunch of dobies!

Now for the coincidences... Few people that have been within voice range of Edwin,  have escaped unscathed before receiving an earful of Civil War history.  All of us who had pained under the innumerable battles and generals from the north and south , while looking frantically for escape routes hoping to excuse ourselves, naturally could not but notice some of the coincidences.
Rupert's Majors were in Harrisburg, first at the "Blue and Gray Cluster", and the following day at the "Mason Dixon Kennel Club"... and where does he finish?  In Manassas Va!!!

HABEMUS CHAMPION! CH.TRIADEL'S THORIUM!

MATTAPONI KENNEL CLUB.
Manassas, VA

Saturday, May 22, 2010

We are ecstatic to announce that Rupert, finally caught that point that had eluded him the last four shows, (Ludwig Corner, Lebanon, and the Cherry Blossom Cluster).  Against a larger AmBred class, he and Argon (in Open), both took their class and proceeded to the WD Competition.  Colleen was very generous, and instead of taking her own dog back in in the ring, she took Rupert and had Argon handled by someone else.  Rupert took WD, and BOW  (I don't know how many points, all we need is one).   Gemmi took BOB, and placed sixth in the Group.  Tomorrow is another show-day, but Rupert will be relaxing, so we are going to cross all our fingers and toes and hope that Argon finishes... Go Argon!!!!  Good thoughts and best wishes also go to Quincy who is entered next week in Ohio, he needs his majors, and if he wins, he'll win BIG since there are about fifty, I say 50 dogs entered!  Go Quincy!!!

THE RED ROSE CLASSIC...OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "DEJA' VU"

LANCASTER KENNEL CLUB
Lebanon, Pa.

Sunday, May 16, 2010

Judge Mr tom Hale, who had given WD to Rupert in Tallmage, OH,  checking Rupert out.

Once more, like last Friday at the Chester Valley KC, Rupert goes against Sharjets Salute To Carry Back with Carissa DeMilta.

The blonde lady with the blue jacket, who shows Great Danes, will take Rupert back in the ring for RWD competition, but I think that the judge had already decided on the puppy.  I saw the way he had been looking at him during the WD competition and knew he liked him a lot.

One last look from the judge, and it's a repeat of Friday, with Rupert going second.

It's Argon's turn now, and he does very well...

Everybody back in for WD, and again "deja vu"...

... Sharjets Salute To Carry Back takes WD, so  once more Rupert goes back in the ring, but this time RWD goes to the red puppy!

BOB competition, Gemmi is in the ring...

...all the winner of both sexes are competing...

... Colleen had "words" with Gemmi, so she knows better than misbehave...

Everybody waiting for the judge's verdict...and it's Gemmi Again!

American Bred Class,  Sharjets Salute To Carry Back handled by Carissa De Milta, and Triadel's Thorium, (Rupert) with Colleen.

Judge Mrs Patricia A. Mowbray-Morgan, checking the boys.

Colleen doing her best, as usual, to make Rupert shine...

yeap!  All teeth present, and accounted for...

...showing his movement forward...

...and backward...

...one more look, and it's Sharjets Salute To Carry Back First, and Rupert Second.

Now it's Argon's turn in the Open Class,

the judge checks him out, and he's showing her "his stuff"

nice stance, good muscle tone...and he takes First.

Now is time to choose Winner Dog,

all the representatives from the different classes are in the ring vying for Winner.

All do their very best, and Sharjets Salute To Carry Back, takes WD.

Since Rupert had lost to Sharjets Salute To Carry Back, he goes back in the ring for RWD...and he gets it.

This is the competition for BOB, Colleen is showing Gemmi, and the other specials are Mi-Ti's Three Cheers with Carissa and Ch Dillon's Midnight Rambler RN.

One more look...

...Gemmi looks her usual very best...

...and she takes the Breed,  Ch Dillon's Midnight Rambler RN BOW, and Mi-Ti's Three Cheers, BOS.

WE WILL MISS YOU, CH TRIADEL'S HELIUM!

It is with much sadness that I report that Helie has suffered a tragic accident, and has died.
She was beloved by owners, John & Shirley Eck, handler Colleen Nicholson, and all of us owners of the littermates who have known her, rooted for her in the ring, and have a special place for her in our heart.

HELIE, YOU WILL BE MISSED.

CHERRY BLOSSOM CLUSTER, DAY TWO

OLD DOMINION KENNEL CLUB OF NORTHERN VIRGINIA

Saturday, April 24, 2010

AmBred lineup, unfortunately, during the sweepstakes a mishap has resulted in a fall for Colleen, and we are worried that she may be feeling worst than she says.  Michelle and Quincy, Gwen DeMilta, Colleen, Diego Garcia...

Rupert and Colleen do a very good job,

The judge, Ms Sharon L Hildebrand, checking Rupert.

one more look...

Diego Garcia and his entry,

Michelle, Gwen, Colleen, and Diego with their entries, Rupert came in third.

Here is Gigi, which showed very well, especially since she had not been showing due to her owners, Mary and Dennis' medical problems.  She took second.
The day belonged to Argon, who finally broke the drought, and took the WD for Two  Points, and the crossover for One, bringing his total to Fourteen.  Now all he and Rupert need is One point, and Colleen is looking for some small shows so that we can finish them both, and go to Sardinia on vacation!
A tough weekend, not many wins, but we are very happy for Argon, and I enjoyed having Michelle and Marisa share the "dog show experience" with me.

Stella was entered in Sweepstakes, here is the judge Ms Sharon Marinelli, checking her out...

one more look at Stella, and she wins...of course!

These are the AmBred entries, a very tough lineup, six very good dogs...and top handlers!  Colleen is first here with Rupert, Michelle and Quincy are in the middle.

Here is the judge, Mr E.A.(Skip) Thielen, checking Rupert, this is a very thorough judge,

here he is checking Quincy

and here looking at Carissa DeMilta's dog.

The lineup includes also Diego Garcia, among others, here first on left.

Colleen does her usual best with Rupert, and he is putty in her hands

Can you guess who took the class from Michelle's expression?  Rupert!  This was such a tough lineup, that I felt as excited and proud of our puppy winning the class, as other times when he took Winners!  The judge was very meticulous, and checked every inch of every dog, no quick decision for sure, so when he pointed to Colleen we were thrilled.  I was also very happy the Michelle and Marissa shared this joy with me.  This was the first time that they had come to see Rupert compete, and even though he did not advance beyond winning the AmBred class, it was such a proud moment for me to share such a tough win with my daughter and granddaughter.  I was also very happy that they met Colleen, Cindy, Donna and Mark, and Mary and Dennis.

Here is Argon, who showed very well, and took third.

I believe that this is Stella

Stella.

Gemmi showed like the Champion that she is, Colleen could not have done a better job with her, the judging was grueling, and it seemed to go on forever, both dog and handler gave their all, but she did not take the breed.

One last look at the BOB lineup, if I remember correctly, Carissa took the breed with the fawn bitch.
